60 major photographers, 60 major architects

ON340 - JAN/2014

The city of Milan has this autumn hosted the exhibition ‘60 Grandi Fotografi, 60 Grandi Architetti’ which, organised by Martini in collaboration with the Forma Foundation, has shown the public 60 renowned architects and designers directly linked to the Italian city, through the eyes of 60 important contemporary photographers. An encounter between architecture and photography that seeks to recognise the work of men and women who are a reference in two forms of art that narrate reality, both urban and social, and in which light takes centre stage, defining shapes, volumes and spaces.

60 portraits in which photographers such as Daniele Mattioli, Guido Harari, Phil Wilkinson, Paolo Pellegrin o Martino Lombezzi examine the faces and expressions of major names in contemporary architecture and design, revealing the most intimate and least-known facets of personalities of the stature of Michele De Lucchi, Gae Aulenti, Benedetta Tagliabue, Alessandro Mendini o Stefano Boeri, among others.
