Poemas de luz

ON341 - MAR/2014

Spanish architecture has traveled to Rome, the first stop of ‘The Art of Construction in Spain’, a travelling exhibition presenting an overview of the most interesting aspects of contemporary architecture in Spain through the photographs of Ricardo Santonja.

Curated by Alberto Cubas, the exhibition is the result of 10 years of research by Santonja, placing special emphasis on the potential of photography as a medium for disseminating a kind of architecture that has its own identity, which transcends the architectural image and does not speak of a work but of the ensemble of architectural works. A new visual language which, thanks to the use of a camera, develops a pseudo-pictorial abstraction that gives rise to light poems.

The show will visit other countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, showcasing the contemporary architecture being built in Spain by both Spanish and foreign architects.
