ON341 - MAR/2014

Philippe Nigro has been chosen ‘Designer now! Design à vivre 2014’ of Maison&Objet Paris, in an encounter that this year gave an overview of the designer’s creative process through drawings, sketches, photographs, maquettes, renders and videos of his products and prototypes, from the original idea to the end product.

An independent designer since 1999, Nigro has worked mainly in France and Italy, where he collaborated with Michele De Lucchi until 2012 on a wide variety of projects that include from the design of products and interiors, furniture and lighting to events and scenographies. The ‘Spiral’ and ‘Storage Unit’ shelving units, the ‘Intersections’ and ‘Confluences’ sofas, the ‘Universal Base’ table and the ‘Twin-Chairs’ are some of the creations by this designer, who has also worked with a large number of firms such as De Castelli, for which he created ‘Think Station’ as part of the INTERINI Think Tank show which took place in 2010, Foscarini, DePadova or Hermès among others.
