Cosentino decks out London’s Archway Tower

London’s Archway Tower refurbishment project chose to clad the existing façade with the ultra-compact Dekton® surface by Cosentino in a Danae colour. The aesthetic of the setting in which the building stands had a bearing on the choice of the creamy Danae colour, which evokes Roman travertine; the matt finish gives it classic warmth. Qualities such as high resistance to ultraviolet rays and staining were decisive in selecting the material.

The works to install the ventilated façade were a veritable engineering endeavour: the concrete panels were removed and replaced with Dekton® cladding using StoVentec insulation technology. The design of the cladding panels in the main elevations follows a regular grid of openings made from Dekton®, which enhances the appearance of the tower. Thanks to this material, the architectural elements of the main elevations emphasise the structure and personality of this historic building.
