Luminous jewels

Halfway between a luminous sculpture and an industrial design object, the “Arrangements” installation that the lighting firm Flos displayed in its Corso Monforte showroom during the Milano Design Week 2018 was structured around a modular system of geometric LED elements that could be combined into multiple compositions to create large chains of light like massive candelabra.

The spectacular light installation, the work of the London-based Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades, extended around the entire showroom. Intuitively, and with the help of tablets, visitors discovered how to configure their own candelabra in an endless number of original combinations, with different types and quantities of elements, without the need for technical assistance. The configurator, which is called “Make your Arrangements” and was presented in Milan together with the new product, is available on the website of the Italian firm.
