Urban art in Ibiza

The Anna Dimitrova gallery is presenting its latest gallery project, Adda Gallery Ibiza, at the Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel —an unusual accommodation on the island, devoted to contemporary art and creation.

A cultural manager and curator, Dimitrova has been promoting and discovering creators of street art for more than 15 years. After undertaking projects around the world, her base camps are Montana Gallery in Barcelona, a space opened in 2010, and Adda Gallery Paris, which opened its doors in the golden triangle of art of the French capital in 2017.

Adda Gallery Ibiza is closing the triangle of her gallery projects. As well as presenting itself as a benchmark for urban art on the island, “Adda Gallery Ibiza seeks to give to the island public a little more of coherently curated urban art and to raise awareness of new international artists who are doing work of very high quality”, says the director.

The first exhibition will be “Technicolor”, a collective show gathering together more than 10 artists of different nationalities, aiming to showcase the gallery’s global character. Prominent among the firms we will find in this inaugural exhibition are names such as Pro176 (France), Uriginal (Barcelona), Nuria Mora (Madrid), Kenor (Barcelona), GR170 (Barcelona), Nasepop (Argentina), Smithe (Mexico) or Fefe Talavera (Brazil). The show will launch on 7 June, the day on which Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel opens its doors.

From June to October, each season’s programming will encompass three exhibitions, which will include both original works of large dimensions and serial works in a small format. The gallery will feature urban art names such as Okuda, Paola Delfín, Pro176, Miss Van, Tilt, OakOak and Ernest Zacharevic, among others. It will also present photographic works by artists such as Nicolas Gzeley or Landry, completing the proposals with figures from the field of illustration such as the work of Conrad Roset or Jorge Arévalo.
