What do we learn from nature?

JUL/2018

Security cameras that watch weeds, a float chair, an inflatable bed, linen hung out to dry that simulates people… These are some of the urban interventions we can see on Venice’s streets and canals.

Octavi Serra, an urban artist and former pupil of Elisava, Barcelona’s Design and Engineering University School, has conceptually interpreted the projects of the five Elisava students selected as part of the “RCR. Dream and Nature_Catalonia in Venice” project, the initiative promoted by the Ramon Llull institute which this year represents Catalonia at the Venice Architecture Biennale.

The competition invited eight Catalan schools to come up with answers to the question of “What do we learn from nature?”. The selected proposals stand out for their interaction, respect, coexistence and the need to find solutions to improve man’s relationship with nature.
