Winners of the Laus Awards 2019

The now traditional Nit ADG Laus evening took place on June 20 at the Disseny Hub Barcelona. This graphic design get-together is the occasion when ADG-FAD, the FAD’s Association of Graphic Designers and Art Directors, presents the ADG Laus Awards for Graphic Design and Visual Communication.

In its 49th edition, more than 1000 projects had been entered for evaluation by the different juries of the five categories—Graphic Design, Digital Design, Advertising, Audiovisual and Students—comprised of prestigious industry professionals, both national and international. In total 308 projects were recognised, distributed as follows: 2 Grand Laus, 1 Young Talent, 1 Honour Laus, 1 Laus for Businesses and Institutions and 2 Laus Aporta, a professional and a student one; plus 29 Gold Laus, 63 Silver Laus and 209 Bronze Laus.

Ana Zelich won the Honour Laus for pioneering moving design and for being a standard over the four decades of the discipline’s evolution in Spain. La Casa Encendida won the Businesses and institutions Laus. The project “Block a Block” by Paula Guallar, of the BAU School, won the Young Talent Laus, and the Laus Aporta went to the “Andrea” application by Nectar Studio and to the “Tercera” project by Carlos Adalid, an ESDAP student. “Finding Fariña” by DDB Spain won the Digital Grand Laus, and the Audiovisual Grand Laus went to the “Exits” video clip by Foals.

The prize-winning works will be on display until 1 September in “The Best Design of the Year” exhibition at the Disseny Hub Barcelona.
