Small designs, great architects

Hasta el 21 de octubre de 2019

We generally associate the “large-scale” concept with the trade of architecture: large buildings, skyscrapers, even cities are the subject of an architect’s creative work, especially of architects enjoying international prestige. But the reality is that in the place where ideas are formed there are no scales; ideas travel from here to there with an ability to seduce in which there is room for stimuli of all kinds in developing the final project. And it is at a certain time on this journey when an image or a piece of paper turns into a great building or a small object that makes our lives different.

In this exhibition of everyday objects such as teapots, cruets, plates, chairs and flower vases signed by reputed international architects of the stature of David Chipperfield, Zaha Hadid, Jean Nouvel and Toyo Ito (some of them winners of the Pritzker Prize), the pieces on display seek to emulate great buildings. Because things are not always what they seem.
