Description Technical file

The ornamentation of calle Cúndaro forms part of the Temps de Flors (Girona Flower Time) initiative, a flower exhibition in which the streets of Girona’s historic centre are decorated with flowers. Calle Cúndaro is characterised by its narrowness and by the presence of a vault that covers the central part to give it a mysterious, sombre air that is very characteristic of the Call, the well-preserved Jewish quarter of the city. The intervention is based on illuminated balloons –to enhance its power at night- which are deformed by pressure and transformed into vast urban luminaires, trapped between the walls of the street facades to thus increase the narrow sensation of the street.
